Ford C-Max Review
Although a bit late for the party, Ford still launched a compact people carrier known as the Ford C-Max. It is a five door compact car that is spacious enough to load a bunch of picnic supplies and people. It is an ideal car for families that like to go on trips and bonding activities. This is probably why it has made a huge impact on the market upon its release.
You have a choice of either going on petrol or diesel. Most families will find the 1.6 litre at 98 bhp and 1.8 litre at 123 bhp models more than adequate for their needs. However, if you want the full power of speed and precision, you can opt for 2.0 litre with 140 bhp especially if you use the vehicle most of the time with a full load. Either way, buyers can see that cruising with the calibre of the C-Max engine is quite effortless. There’s plenty of overtaking punch and the 6-speed gearbox makes driving even more graceful for the driver. The vehicle is easy to handle, feels very agile and has good body control even though it is larger than your ordinary sedans. This makes for a pleasant driving experience whether you’re on smooth motorways or those rough back roads.
Ford C-Max has also nice interiors that are both pleasant to look at and comfortable for the car passengers. The cabin has enough insulation to block off the sounds coming from outside the car. The dashboard has a sophisticated and polished look and is fitted precisely enough to offer a lot of leg room for both the driver and the passenger. Car seats have enough support and insulation that are especially helpful during long trips. The only inconvenience that most critics note is the lack of seven-seat option and the seats that can’t be folded which does not give enough room for versatility especially during extenuating circumstances. However, you might just overlook these limitations after finding out of its other special features such as the adjustable steering wheel and driver’s seat to match your convenience for driving.
All of the models have side current airbags for both the driver and the passengers. An Isofix child car seat anchor is also installed together with an immobiliser and remote central locking system as part of its safety features.
